Homecoming

Hi all, just thought I'd let you know Ben made the Homecoming Court. I think he was unimpressed, but looked great! Ansonia lost to Covington, (again) , Ben was not crowned King, and we had goose bumps on our goose bumps, but we salvaged the night with Bud Light and Apple Cake, (terrible combo, but surprisingly, good). Looking forward to seeing the "chicks" next weekend!

You know ladies, this blog is a great way to keep us all updated with what's going on in all of our lives. Amber, you could put updates on your pregnancy and those cute belly photos on here; Kate, you could post pictures of your new house; etc. I loved reading about Amanda's trip and seeing her pictures. I vote to keep this up year round!

Wine Country Sonoma, CA

Sam & I visited some friends in Sonoma, CA the first weekend of August. It is SO beautiful out there. Our friends only live about 2 miles from this winery. It is called Ravens Wood. I think ALL of us should pack up and move out there together. Maybe in the future we can do a wine tasting trip?!!

Holly Crap I actually figured this out..Thanks Jenn! I had such a geat time with all of you! It's so nice to be with a group of women, even better that we're family, to get those feelings out on the table. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who has a complaint or 2..or 10, about the main man in my life. AHH..but I do Love him, and couldn't be without him! ;) Thanks for all of the advice and laughs.

Ah, Chicago! Calling all Chicks! We've got to return, we didn't finish our Chicago business. We have an architectural tour and the Navy Pier to conquer. Less rain, more sun, and maybe we can "Howl at the Moon"!! What a fun weekend, with a great bunch of broads! I can't tell you how wonderful it is to laugh and shop and swap stories with you all. I'm looking forward to Baby Boerger Pictures, so Amber keep us posted! Hugs and Cheers to everyone!

Never a disappointment...

Lisa, what a great idea to set up this blog! The Whittington Chicks are such a technologically savvy bunch!

Well ladies, I just have to say again, I had a GREAT time. Chicago is always so much fun, but I honestly believe it's the company we keep that brings us back time after time. You would never guess that we are only able to get together once or twice a year. I would like to hope that we didn't scar Amber and Ashlee too bad - we really are a goofy group of gals....Pat would be so proud (even if a little embarrassed at times). Ha!

I've had such a good time laughing at our pictures. It's amazing how funny I think I am when I've been drinking. Shew! Anyway, I certainly hope we can arrange to squeeze in a trip next year. I have a sneaking suspicion that we will be planning around the addition of a couple new "chicklets" next summer.

It Just doesn't get any better than this: 11 women, 3 days of fun and One Big Metropolis for us all to play in. I must say, The Chicago Trip 2008 was a great way to spend a weekend.
